What variety there is in Matthew 22 - a story about a wedding reception,
a question about taxes, the dead come back to life, love God and your
neighbour, how can David's son be David's Lord? When we read the
Gospels, we must allow the Lord Jesus to speak to us on all the subjects
that He brings to us. We are not to select our favourite passages and
ignore the other passages. If we only read the parts we like, we are not
really listening to the Lord. He has so much to say to us. Lord, give
us a listening ear.
