More looking at Jesus, and less looking at ourselves - that's what we need. The more we look at ourselves, the more discouraged and depressed we get. We see what we're really like - and we don't like it. Failure - that's what we see, and it tears us apart. We wish we were so much better than we are. Becoming all that God wants us to be - it all seems so hopeless, when we're constantly looking in at ourselves rather than looking out from ourselves to Jesus. How can we be changed? Let Jesus do it. Look at Him - not once in a while. Look at Him - again and again. See how wonderful He is, and let Him change you. We can't change ourselves. Real change doesn't begin with "I." It comes to us from Jesus - "Turn your eyes upon Jesus. look full on His wonderful face, and the
things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and
grace."
