Jesus' ministry of preaching,
teaching and healing was a remarkable ministry - but He did not go it
alone. He called disciples to be with Him and learn from Him. How much do
we know about these men? We know quite a lot about some of them. There
are others about whom we know nothing at all. Do we need to know a lot
about all of the apostles? No! We need to know about Jesus. The Saviour
is more important than the servants. The message is more important than
the messengers. This is a very important lesson. This is a lesson that
we all need to learn. This is a lesson that we must never forget. Before
we can work for the Lord, we are to "be with Him." We are to speak for
Him (Mark 3:14). We are to pray that people will be changed (Mark 3:15).
