Meaning, purpose and direction

Where do we find real meaning, purpose and direction in life?
How are we to make sense of our life? Why are we here? Where are we going?
In our life's journey, as we travel from the past, through the present and on into the future, we need Jesus to guide us.
Without him, we are wandering around aimlessly. Nothing really makes sense. We can't understand what life is all about. We don't really know why we're here. We don't have hope for the future.
With Jesus, everything changes. He takes the many disconnected pieces in the jigsaw of our life. He  puts them together - and we see the big picture.
Through him, we see ourselves differently - created by the love of God and redeemed by the grace of God, we're being led towards the glory of God. This is what rings meaning, purpose and direction into our lives.
There are many things that challenge our sense of meaning, purpose and direction. In such testing and trying times, let us keep our eyes fixed on Jesus. As we learn to look away from ourselves to him, he will give us this great testimony of faith: "in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us" (Romans 8:37).

May God's Blessing Surround You Each Day ...

God's Word is "a lamp to our feet and a light to our path." He has "wondrous things" to teach us as we pray "Open my eyes that I may see" (Psalm 119:105, 18, 11). "May God's blessing surround you each day, as you trust Him and walk in His way. May His presence within guard and keep you from sin, go in peace, go in joy, go in love." "Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but to Your Name give glory, because of Your mercy and Your truth" (Psalm 115:1).

Wonderful Grace of Jesus

What happens to us, Lord, when we turn away from You?

2 Kings 17:1-41 What happens to us, Lord, when we turn away from You? Everything starts falling apart. It may seem like we’re getting on well – but there’s an “emptiness” (2 Kings 17:14) at the heart of everything that we do. Having Jesus as our Saviour – this is all that really matters. there’s nothing more important than this. Help us to keep on coming to Jesus, to keep on enjoying “the fullness of life” that He gives to us (John 10:10),
