"Listen to my cry for help, O Lord" (Psalm 61:1). God is the God of
power and mercy: "Power belongs to God. Mercy belongs to You, O Lord"
(Psalm 62:11-12), "I look to You in the holy place to see Your power and
Your glory. My lips will praise You because Your mercy is better than
life itself" (Psalm 63:3). When we consider how great God is - great in
power, great in mercy, we are filled with thanksgiving, praise and joy -
"I will thank You as long as I live ... My mouth will sing Your praise
with joyful lips" (Psalm 63:4-5).
