"No one can ever buy back another person or pay God a ransom for his life" (Psalm 49:7).
What no-one else could ever do for us, God has done for us - "... the Son of Man came ... to give His
life as a ransom for many people” (Mark 10:45). "God forbid that I should glory except in the Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ" (Galatians 6:14).
