Proverbs 16:18-33
Help
us, Lord, to think about the way we’re living. Is it a self-centred
life? – “There is a way which seems right to a man, but its end is the
way of death” (Proverbs 16:25). Is it a God-centred life? – “He who
gives heed to the Word will prosper, and happy is he who trusts in the
Lord” (Proverbs 16:20). Help us, Lord, to turn from the world’s way of
living – “the wages of sin is death.” Help us to choose Your way, the
way that leads to eternal life – “the free gift of God is eternal life
in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23).
