Job 1:1-2:13
Lord, Your power is greater than
the power of Satan. Help us never to forget this. Satan is “roaming
through the earth”, “prowling around like a roaring lion, seeking for
someone to devour” (Job 1:7; 1 Peter 5:8) – but he can only do what You
allow him to do (Job 1:12; Job 2:6). When Satan seems to be getting the
upper hand, remind us that You’re the One who’s in control – not him!
