Parables: Where does understanding come from? It comes from the
Lord. Before there can be "harvest" (Mark 4:29), there needs to be
sowing (Mark 4:26). We are not to say, "This one is good soil. Here,
there is bad soil." Following some parables, we have Jesus calming the
sea (Mark 4:35-41) - "Be still" (Mark 4:39): This is the Word of the
Lord. Where does peace come from? It comes from the Lord. It comes to us
through His Word.
