There is a great contrast between the true God and false gods (Isaiah
31). God brings great blessing into our lives. He does this through the
gift of the Holy spirit – “the Spirit is poured upon us from on high”
(Isaiah 32:14). In Him, we receive “peace” (Isaiah 32:18). In Him, we
receive “the riches of salvation”, which “are wisdom and knowledge”
(Isaiah 33:6). We look away from ourselves in “the fear of the Lord.” We
find our “treasure” in “the Lord” – “our Judge, our Lawgiver, our King,
our Saviour” (Isaiah 33:6,22).
