There's a
contrast between the two parts of John 2 - the joy of water being turned
into wine (John 2:1-12), the seriousness of the money changers being
thrown out of the temple courtyard (John 2:13-17). We need both - joy
and seriousness; the joy that comes from knowing Jesus, the seriousness
of commitment to following Jesus. The rebuilding of our lives comes from
the resurrection of Jesus (John 2:18-22). This rebuilding comes to us
when we seek to know the reality of the Lord in our lives. This reality
comes to us when we seek to be real with God (John 2:23-25).
God's Word is "a lamp to our feet and a light to our path." He has "wondrous things" to teach us as we pray "Open my eyes that I may see" (Psalm 119:105, 18, 11). "May God's blessing surround you each day, as you trust Him and walk in His way. May His presence within guard and keep you from sin, go in peace, go in joy, go in love." "Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but to Your Name give glory, because of Your mercy and Your truth" (Psalm 115:1).
