In Philippians 2:8, we read of Jesus going into “the far country” (Luke
15:13) – “He humbled Himself and became obedient to death – even death
on a cross!” – so that we might have an even greatest Homecoming of all –
Christ has been “exalted … to the highest place.” He has been given
“the Name that is above every name.” What a day it will be when “at the
Name of Jesus every knee shall bow, in heaven and on earth and under the
earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory
of God the Father” (Philippians 2:9-11).
God's Word is "a lamp to our feet and a light to our path." He has "wondrous things" to teach us as we pray "Open my eyes that I may see" (Psalm 119:105, 18, 11). "May God's blessing surround you each day, as you trust Him and walk in His way. May His presence within guard and keep you from sin, go in peace, go in joy, go in love." "Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but to Your Name give glory, because of Your mercy and Your truth" (Psalm 115:1).
