"Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help, who rely on horses, who trust in the multitude of their chariots and in the great strength of their horsemen, but do not look to the Holy One of Israel, or seek help from the Lord" (Isaiah 31:1).
"Egypt" had been, for God's people, the place of oppression. The Lord had delivered His people from their bondage in Egypt. Why go back to "Egypt"? What can "Egypt" offer to God's people? Leave your past where it belongs - in the past. God has more to give to you than "Egypt" ever can.
