“O my God, do not be so distant from me. Come quickly to help me, O Lord, my Saviour” (Psalm 38:22).
Is God a faraway God? If we think of God in this way, we’ve missed
the point. We don’t just ask Him to come to us. We thank Him that He has
come to us. Jesus is our Saviour (Matthew 1:21). Emmanuel – God with
us (Matthew 1:23).
