"They were in a lot of trouble ...because they were going against the
wind" (Mark 6:48). We make a lot of trouble for ourselves when we go
against the wind of the Spirit. John 3 and Acts 2 compare the Spirit to
the wind. We need to go with the wind of the Spirit if we are to be
blessed by the Lord."They didn't understand ... their minds were closed"
(Mark 6:52). Where does understanding come from? It comes from the
Lord. How does understanding come to us? It comes to us when we open our
minds - "Lord, show me what this means."
God's Word is "a lamp to our feet and a light to our path." He has "wondrous things" to teach us as we pray "Open my eyes that I may see" (Psalm 119:105, 18, 11). "May God's blessing surround you each day, as you trust Him and walk in His way. May His presence within guard and keep you from sin, go in peace, go in joy, go in love." "Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but to Your Name give glory, because of Your mercy and Your truth" (Psalm 115:1).
