When Jesus was praying to His Father for His first disciples, He spoke these words, "Sanctify them by the truth; Your Word is truth" (John 17:17). If, in our generation, we are to be the people of God - filled with His power, His love and holiness, we, no less than Jesus' first disciples, need to be grounded in the truth of God's Word. Without the Word of the Lord, we will never become what God wants us to become. This is what will change us - the living Word of the living God.
