Before the worshippers gather, the Lord is there ...

"My eyes and My heart will always be there (in the place where God's people gather together to worship Him)" (2 Chronicles 7:16).
Before the worshippers gather, the Lord is there. He's waiting for us. He's calling us to come to Him. Before our ears hear the words, "Let us worship God", the Lord is speaking to our hearts. He's opening His heart to us. He's telling us that He loves us - and He wants us to come to Him with a song of praise in our hearts and on our lips. Before we begin to sing our song of praise to Him, the Lord is putting the song of praise into our hearts. Before we speak any words of prayer, He's creating in us the desire to speak to Him. Where does the song of praise come from? Where does the word of prayer come from? They come from the Lord. The spirit of praise comes from Him. The word of prayer comes from Him. In our worship, we never take the initiative. Our faith can never be any more than a response to His grace. He comes to us, in grace, before we come to Him in faith.

May God's Blessing Surround You Each Day ...

God's Word is "a lamp to our feet and a light to our path." He has "wondrous things" to teach us as we pray "Open my eyes that I may see" (Psalm 119:105, 18, 11). "May God's blessing surround you each day, as you trust Him and walk in His way. May His presence within guard and keep you from sin, go in peace, go in joy, go in love." "Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but to Your Name give glory, because of Your mercy and Your truth" (Psalm 115:1).

Wonderful Grace of Jesus

What happens to us, Lord, when we turn away from You?

2 Kings 17:1-41 What happens to us, Lord, when we turn away from You? Everything starts falling apart. It may seem like we’re getting on well – but there’s an “emptiness” (2 Kings 17:14) at the heart of everything that we do. Having Jesus as our Saviour – this is all that really matters. there’s nothing more important than this. Help us to keep on coming to Jesus, to keep on enjoying “the fullness of life” that He gives to us (John 10:10),
