Let us rejoice - Jesus Christ "loved us and gave Himself for us."

"Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: ...  Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law" (Romans 3:24,28).

In God's way of salvation, there's no room for boasting from us. Salvation is God's gift. It's given to us "by His grace." We do not come to Him, saying, 'Look at all the good things I've done.' We look away from ourselves to Jesus Christ. He is our Saviour. We look away from what we have done. We turn our attention to what He has done for us - and we rejoice and give thanks that "He loved us and gave Himself for us" (Galatians 2:20).
