Lord, give us the strength that we need to keep on serving You.

"When Sanballat the Horonite and Tobiah the Ammonite official heard about this, they were very much disturbed that someone had come to promote the welfare of the Israelites" (Nehemiah 2:10).

The enemies of the Lord and his work are not happy when someone new comes along - someone who is really committed to serving the Lord. What a difference there is between those who serve the Lord and those who make trouble for God's people. Wherever we are, we'll never get away from this situation. What are we to do? We must pray for the Lord's help, asking Him to give us the strength that we need to keep on serving Him.
