We've only just begun ... There's so much more still to come ...

"Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him" (Romans 5:9).

The forgiveness of our sins - this is just the beginning. God has so "much more" for us. He is leading us on to our full enjoyment of His salvation: eternal life.
We look back to our personal "happy day" - "O happy day! that fixed my choice on Thee, my Saviour and my God!" We look forward to an even more wonderful day- the great Day when all God's people will be gathered together in his heavenly and eternal Kingdom. We think of that great Day, and our hearts are filled with this glorious hope: "When the roll is called up yonder, I'll be there."

I have quoted from "O happy day" and "When the trumpet of the Lord shall sound." Here are links to the words and tunes of these hymns - Hymn: O happy day that fixed my choice and When the Roll Is Called Up Yonder | Hymnary.org.

May God's Blessing Surround You Each Day ...

God's Word is "a lamp to our feet and a light to our path." He has "wondrous things" to teach us as we pray "Open my eyes that I may see" (Psalm 119:105, 18, 11). "May God's blessing surround you each day, as you trust Him and walk in His way. May His presence within guard and keep you from sin, go in peace, go in joy, go in love." "Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but to Your Name give glory, because of Your mercy and Your truth" (Psalm 115:1).

Wonderful Grace of Jesus

What happens to us, Lord, when we turn away from You?

2 Kings 17:1-41 What happens to us, Lord, when we turn away from You? Everything starts falling apart. It may seem like we’re getting on well – but there’s an “emptiness” (2 Kings 17:14) at the heart of everything that we do. Having Jesus as our Saviour – this is all that really matters. there’s nothing more important than this. Help us to keep on coming to Jesus, to keep on enjoying “the fullness of life” that He gives to us (John 10:10),
