The greatest story ever told?

It's all made up - all this talk about God? This is what many people, in today's world, think. There is no Word from the Lord which makes sense of our life's journey - this is what they tell us. What if it the Bible story really does come to us from God?  Where does that leave us - with all our talk about everything about God being made up? What does the Bible really say to us? Is it just a lot of disconnected ideas from the ancient past? or Is there really a connected story which comes to us with the clear message - "God so loved the world that he gave his only Son ..." (John 3:16)? Could it be that this is the greatest story ever told? - and that its true greatness comes from this: it really happened!
