The Lamb of God - crucified and exalted

"Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom, and strength and honor and glory and blessing!" (Revelation 5:12)

From John 1:29, we learn that Jesus is "the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world." These words, from John the Baptist, looked forward to Christ's death on the cross for us. Here, we are taken beyond the cross of Christ to the full glory of God's eternal salvation - but we do not forget what Jesus did for us when He died on the cross.
