I can't cope! ...

I can't cope!
These are desperate words. They're words that say, "There's  no hope." How can hope break  into our desperate situation? Hope comes to us when we learn to say something more than "I can't cope!" - when we learn to say, "I can't cope - without you, Lord." When a cry of despair becomes a prayer to the Lord, everything changes. What is it that changes everything? It's been said that "love changes everything." Again, there's something we must add to this. We must learn to say, "God's love changes everything." Love isn't something that comes from within ourselves. Love comes to us when the Lord comes to us. That's when our "I can't" becomes "I can." We can say something more than this. It's not so much "I can." It's "Christ can" and "Christ will." Can I cope? Will I cope? When we look away from ourselves to Christ, we receive the strength that we need - "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13).

May God's Blessing Surround You Each Day ...

God's Word is "a lamp to our feet and a light to our path." He has "wondrous things" to teach us as we pray "Open my eyes that I may see" (Psalm 119:105, 18, 11). "May God's blessing surround you each day, as you trust Him and walk in His way. May His presence within guard and keep you from sin, go in peace, go in joy, go in love." "Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but to Your Name give glory, because of Your mercy and Your truth" (Psalm 115:1).

Wonderful Grace of Jesus

What happens to us, Lord, when we turn away from You?

2 Kings 17:1-41 What happens to us, Lord, when we turn away from You? Everything starts falling apart. It may seem like we’re getting on well – but there’s an “emptiness” (2 Kings 17:14) at the heart of everything that we do. Having Jesus as our Saviour – this is all that really matters. there’s nothing more important than this. Help us to keep on coming to Jesus, to keep on enjoying “the fullness of life” that He gives to us (John 10:10),
