In our journey through life, there are many things that we don't understand - but there's something we must never forget: we have the Word of the Lord to guide us, every step of the way. The Lord does not leave us when the going gets tough. We don't need to understand everything that's going on. What we do need to know is this: the Lord is with us. We look at the things - and, often, we're confused. We look at Jesus, we see that he's "God with us" (Matthew 1:23) - and that's enough! Our feelings may come and go. Sometimes, we're up. Sometimes, we're down. In our highs and in our lows, Jesus says to us, "I am with you always" (Matthew 28:20).
