The Lord's mercy is more than enough.

“To you I lift up my eyes, O you who are enthroned in the heavens … Have upon us, O Lord, have mercy upon us, for we have had more than enough of contempt” (Psalm 123:1,3).
The Lord is “enthroned in the heavens” – Can we lift up our eyes any higher than this?
When we look up to the Lord, what do we find? – We find that he is the God of “mercy.
What a difference there is between the world and the Lord! – From the world, we’ve received “contempt.” From the Lord, we receive compassion.
The world ‘s contempt seems to us to be “more than enough.” The Lord’s “mercy” is more than enough – it’s greater than all our sin!
