“And they shall dwell safely therein … and they shall know that I am the Lord their God” (Ezekiel 28:26).
Our salvation comes to us from our God. He is the God of our salvation. What a joy it is to know the salvation of God. It is wonderful to know that the Lord cares about us. There is no love like the love of the Lord. To know the Lord is to know that we are loved by him. His love is the greatest love of all. In love, he has provided salvation for us. His salvation is full salvation. It is eternal salvation. It is not for this life only. It is for all eternity. Beyond the forgiveness of our sins, there is eternal life. In the Holy Spirit, God has given us his guarantee of eternal life – the first instalment of his salvation. We rejoice in the God’s gift of the Holy Spirit. This is God’s way of saying to us, ‘This is just the beginning.There is more to come.’ We have begun to walk with the Lord in victory. Often, we fail him. There will come a time when our failure will be behind us. We will be beyond all of that. Our deliverance from sin will be complete. Looking forward to the fullness of God’s salvation, let us praise his holy and loving name, and let us give all the glory to him.
