Is there a way out of doubt and despair?

What happens when we ask questions without really looking for answers? We move from doubt to despair. 

Is there another way out of doubt - a way that leads to faith? If we are to travel from doubt to faith - and not from doubt to despair - we must ask our questions with openness. We haven't made up our minds already that there are no answers. We're asking questions - and we're searching for answers. Where are the answers to come from? Where will we find answers that satisfy? God's Word directs our attention to Jesus. What does Jesus say to us? - This is what he says, "I am the light of the world.Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life" (John 8:12).
