“The curtain of the Temple was torn in two, from top to bottom” (Matthew 27:51).
From top to bottom: We could never raise ourselves from the bottom to the top – but God has come from the top to the bottom, and he raises us from the bottom to the top!
This is salvation. It is given to us by God. It is never grasped by us from God.
