Out of the depths ...

“Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord … ” (Psalm 130:1).

From the depths to the heights – Our “cry” rises up to the Lord, the God of heaven. We are of the earth. We cannot raise ourselves up to heaven. What we cannot do for ourselves, the Lord will do for us. Here, on earth, we are often, in “the depths”, but we’ll not be in the depths forever. The Lord is with us on our journey through life – and he is leading us on to the heights, on to his eternal glory.
